Since we know that you can't live off cake alone, we started the party with brunch. I made yummy chicken and mushroom crepes. The we had a crepe bar with lots of yummy fillings.
Now the Cakes. Yes, I said cakes. We actually had a big cake, a little cake, and cupcakes (I had extra batter so I had to use it. I got the idea for the cake from this blog. It was actually really easy. The cupcakes were the most time consuming. I got the idea for them out of this months Family Fun magazine.
As you can see Ian loved his cake. He devoured the entire thing, and it wasn't exactly tiny. He even yelled for more when it was all done.
It was a great party. I am a little sad that my last first is done, but I am so happy to have Ian in our family.
are you serious? he ate the whole thing?! haha! abby gagged at her first birthday cake and never even tried it. :-) at least you know you don't have to worry about him being a healthy eater...
