After 6 years

I inherited my grandmothers rocking chair six years ago.  It has sat in our house, where every time I walked past it I thought about recovering it.  Yet, I didn't.  This is the only picture I could find of what it looked like before.  You can see it is a lovely shade of gold.

So a couple of weeks ago my sil Mauri recovered an ottoman for her babies room.  I thought if she can do it, so can I.  I went out and bought the fabric and with a little assistance from my mom I got going.  And here are the results.

I also recovered a pillow for my other cute chair.  I had picked out the fabric years ago and I am not disappointed. I love the way it turned out.  I am not sure why I waited so long to do this. I guess I just needed a little inspiration.  I still need to refinish the wood in some way.   I just hope it doesn't take me six more years to do that.
