Happy Independence Day!

I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July!!

I love the 4th, it is one of my favorite holidays.  I love the fact that you get to celebrate all week and don't have to worry about gifts for anyone.  As always we headed to Logan to celebrate.
We started off the weekend at a concert at USU.  The American Festival Choir sang a patriotic program.  It was amazing.  I love patriotic music and these guys did a really great job.  Craig Jessop is the conductor and he really whipped those guys into shape.  After the patriotic program Peter Cetera performed.  It was so AWESOME!  He sounded exactly the same as he did when he was with Chicago.

Friday night was the big fireworks show.  We decided to sit at Lee's this year instead of going into the stadium.  The kids had a lot of fun playing in the bounce house and getting there face painted.  When it got dark we watched a great show.  I don't know what but I always have a soft spot in my heart for Logan City Fireworks.  I have seen fireworks in a lot of places, but to me Logan's are always the best.

Sat morning we enjoyed a pancake breakfast.  The boyscout troop that puts it on has been doing it for 50 years now.  That is amazing and yummy.  The kids love running around after they eat.  This year they also had a dunking machine.  Dallin threw the ball and missed all three times so he tricked the guy and just ran and pushed it.  Savannah hit it square on, I think the guy was more than a little surprised that this skinny little girl could throw so hard.

Sat night we lit our own fireworks with the kids.  I love this tradition and I know the kids do too.  We even got Dallas and Brittany in on the sparkler action.  Nothing brings out the kids in you like a sparkler.

Sunday we spent a nice quite day at home and Monday we worked out our deck. Justin managed to get the whole railing finished so now we can start on the pergola.  I think it turned out really nice, now I just need to finish staining the railing.
