My Productive Weekend

I had a very productive but very exhausting weekend. Actually I should say Saturday, since today was part of the weekend and all I accomplished was going to Church.
My mom came down Friday night and we went to dinner and then hit the Old Navy clearance sale. I got a bag full of clothes for only $60. All for my kids of course, who wants to by clothes for themselves when they are big and preggo.
On Saturday we got up and got right to work. I painted Hailey's dresser so we could move that down to Savannah's room. I also painted a bookcase and storage boxes for the baby's room. While I was working on these my mom moved Hailey's clothes downstairs and got out and hung up or folded all the baby boy clothes. When she finally left about 6:30 we had it all done. Including loading back up Hailey's dresser and the baby's dresser.
After she left I decided to tackle the stripe on the wall in nursery. This stripe has now been on the wall in some form for 3.5 years. It started out as a Navy blue horizontal stripe for Dallin. For Hailey it changed in to green, beige, pink and navy vertical stripes. Now for ds #2 it will be green, brown, beige and orange. Last night I got all the brown painted over the pink stripes. I think it looks pretty good. I have quite a bit of touch up to do but it is coming along. That is what all the little blue pieces of tape are for. I am going to get the orange paint either tomorrow or Tuesday so I can get it finished up.
All in all though I am quite proud of all this old pregnant woman was able to accomplish. Of course I was so sore I could hardly sleep last night or walk today, but it was worth it. Thanks mom for all your help.
If you are wondering where Justin was for all of this, he was skiing with Dallin and Savannah. He says it was hard work, but I don't beleive him.

  3. That is so darling. How creative of you to do those stripes as a border, I think I might have to copy that, when I get a house, so cute!
