Terrible Two?!?!?

Ian has done it, he has turned the big TWO.  I can't beleive that it has been two years since I had him.  I can remember being pregnant, being in labor and his birth so vividly.  It can't possible have already been two years.  Yet, it has.  Time marches on and children grow no matter how much we want them to stay in the stage they are in.

Ian is at one of those stages.  Where I would like him to stay, but at the same time I would like him to move on.  He is saying quite a few words now.  If you ask him where something is he will say " I no no" (I don't know), "eese" (cheese), "da" (yes).  Yet he refuses to say love you or call Justin Da Da, he calls him Ma Ma.  We are working on that one still.  He is sooo busy, he can undo a room faster than I could even think about picking it up.  He can't even sit still to eat.
We have begun potty training with Ian.  After he started removing his diapers it they were the tiniest bit wet I knew it was time.
Ian is so fun and always wants to go.  If I tell some one to get ready to go to school, he asks "an I go?" so sweetly it breaks my heart to tell him no.  He is always up for an adventure and will ride along in the stroller with me while I run pointing out all the cars along the way.  He loves balls and cars and has quite an arm on him.  He makes his daddy quite proud when he plays catch or shoots baskets.

We are so happy that Ian is in our family.  I think he holds a special spot in all out hearts.  He simply has to smile at me when I am getting mad at him and I can't help but smile back. Those big brown eyes are just impossible to stay angry with.

  1. So fun! I can't believe that your baby is 2! My third called everything mom. He would always point to things and say, "mom".
