Fundraisers. Good or bad?

Savannah brought home another fundraiser yesterday. Last week we were supposed to sell Happenings books, this week it is Sally Foster. Luckily I think the happenings books are overpriced, so I didn't hit y'all up to buy one of those. I don't think you will be so lucky with the Sally Foster stuff. They do have some pretty cute wrapping paper and and other small gifts. So watch your inboxes for more information.
So now that I have told you what we have to do, I have to say I don't know that I love these fundraisers. Maybe it's because I am quite shy and hate having to ask people to buy things. I think I would rather have the PTA ask for a $20 donation and save the work of doing these fundraisers. I figure if every family put in $10 or $20 we could support the whole PTA. On the other hand it does give me an excuse to buy some really cute wrapping paper. I am already trying to figure out which will look cutest under my tree.

Oh, on another note. The homework is going much better. Savannah and I have figured out a good system and it is actually fun to work with her on this project. We are making a collage for each letter of the alphabet and then the teacher will make a book with them. Savannah is really getting good at identifying the things that start with each letter. Last night she sat with her princess magna doodle and carefully wrote all the letters and the words. She was very diligent and didn't even take a break for Dancing with the Stars, which she loves.

  1. Hey, I love Sally Foster. And don't worry we're calling you for pizza tomorrow. ;) You could call your PTA and ask them how much their profit is and then just give them the money that they would make if you sold 4-5 items. Unfortunately, not everyone will donate money so we have to do stupid fundraisers! Good luck! That is crummy you have 2 in a couple of weeks.
