Labor Day

Don't you just love labor day. I think it is a great day. We always plan a whole weekend worth of fun. This year my niece Katie got baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was such a neat day. We were at the church waiting to Katie to enter the water. I had to walk around the back of the room to get to a chair, Dallin was with the other kids on the floor near the font. All the sudden I look up to see Dallin being snatched out of mid-air by one of the members of the Bishopric. I guess he decided that the font looked like a great day to go for a swim. Luckily someone was paying more attention that me. I was rather embarrassed, but at least he didn't go in.

On Saturday night we decided to take Frank and Holly to Mack Park to cook tin foil dinners. Frank had never had them, so we had to introduce them to him. We had a great time relaxing at the park while the kids played. Of course I ate way too many marshmallows. I just can't resist a marshmallow roasted over the fire. I feel like I have perfected the roasting method and had to try and teach the kiddos.
















On Sunday I decided to get sick with the flu. Justin was already fighting a sore throat so we were kind of a mess. We were supposed to go to Park City to stay overnight but instead ended up staying at home trying to nurse ourselves back to health. On Monday I felt a little better, so I drove up to Park City to ride the alpine slide at the Utah Olympic park. I took Dallin on his first ride ever. He loved it. Soon as we go to the bottom he said "I want to go again." So we went again. Savannah got to ride with Aunt Holly and Uncle Frank, she was thrilled. We had so much fun. After the slides we hit the outlets for a small shopping spree, then headed into Park City to get some dinner. After dinner I took Holly and Frank to the Airport and then I went home and went to bed. Whatever that bug is that is going around is terrible and I only had a minor case of it. I feel sorry for those of you who had it bad. I do feel better now, so I can enjoy my alone time.
