It's official

Well today was the first full day of school for both Dallin and Savannah. We got up a little late and had to rush a little bit. We did manage to almost get out the door on time and got Savannah to school just before the bell rang. As I watched her walk into school by herself with all the big kids around her I got a little emotional. I hope that she is confident and secure in herself. I hope that the other kids want to be her friend and I hope she has fun. She is such a sweet tender girl, that I don't want her to get hurt. I know it will happen, all kids get hurt. But I don't want it to. I want to protect her and keep her safe and happy. In reality I know this is impossible, and so I will be there to give her a hug and help her when it happens.

Dallin started preschool at Miss Lori's. He went on Tuesday for an hour to do all the first day stuff. He was so excited that there are boys in his class. For some reason he thinks only girls go to school, so he was pleased to find out he and other boys could go. Now he thinks only girls go to Kindergarten and keeps saying, "when I am a girl I will have a school bell" or "when I am big girl I will ride my bike to school". I have tried explaining that it has nothing to do with being a girl or boy but I don't think he buys it.

If you look closely at the yellow paper you can see the picture Dallin drew of himeself. "It has a head and a arm." according to Dallin.

Well now with both of them off to school it means that two days a week for 2.5 hours a day I only have Hailey and she naps during that time. It is so nice I am sitting here watching Regis and Kelly and I haven't had to tell anyone to not do this or that. It is so nice!!!
