This week has been a fun week. I got to get my haircut, as listed in my previous post. After my haircut I got to go to Cafe Sabor, in Logan, for some yummy, yummy Mexican food. On Thursday I got to attend my much anticipated book club.
Once a month I get together with a group of seven smart ladies and spend 30 minutes discussing that months book and at least 3 hours gossiping. Sometimes we get pretty silly, and I wonder how our families put up with it. I love this night and have threatened my DH that he must be home on these night to take the kids or else.;)
Today to finish of the week Justin and I went to Once on This Island at the Hale Center Theatre. It was really good. Justin and I knew nothing about this musical and we hadn't gotten really excited after reading the synopsis about it. We were very pleasantly surprised. It had really fun music and was fun the watch. HCT did a great job as usual, Justin said he thought that this was their strongest performance, musically. My mom came down from Smithfield to tend our three yahoos, which I totally appreciated. After we got home from the play I made Ham and Potato Chowder, it was such a dreary day it just called for something warm.
It was a really great way to finish off the week.
Oh I nearly forgot. On Wednesday Hailey took her first steps. That's right only ten months old and already venturing into the world of walking. I was very happy for her, although it also means that she is now figuring out lots of other things like how to empty my underwear drawer. The kids are great helpers, and keep track of Hailey when sneaks off and tries to get into the bathroom or laundry room. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. I think she sees the big kids doing things and she wants to do them as well. She has also figured out how to throw a fit when she doesn't get her way of you stop her from doing something naughty. I guess this is her red-headed temperament coming out.
I feel the same way about book club as you described. It's truly one of my absolute highlights of each month.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe your Hailey is starting to walk! Aren't you glad, though? I kind of hate that crawling stage when you have to be in public places and they want to explore those filthy floors.
