Today was our ward primary program. It was so good. I was recently put into the Primary Presidency, I am the secretary, so I had the unique experience of helping and worrying about this program. We had only two practices before the program today, and they didn't really sound that great. Somehow, though the kids always pull it off. I guess there are more moms out there like me that drilled the primary songs into their kids heads, to the point that Savannah asked if "we could please turn them off." I guess all that drilling paid off because Savannah stood up there and sang her best and delivered her line perfectly.
At the end of the program the kids sang "I know that My Redeemer Lives". As I watched these kids up there on the stand singing this song with all their hearts, literally bearing their testimonies of Jesus, I couldn't help myself, I broke down in tears. I love this song and it is my testimony of Christ. I can't sing this song without thinking about all the blessings I have in my life, because of the gospel. I don't think I have made it through this song recently without crying. If I ever begin to doubt my testimony I think of this song and I remember.
I know that this church is true. I know that Jesus is my Savior. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, as is Gordon B Hinkley. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that the Primary music and the Hymns are inspired. I know that this music was put here to convert souls. And I know that the Angels were singing in my ward today. I am so grateful for the church.
