Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, as usual, this year. We started out the Holiday on Weds night with my family. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, with all the fixin's. Justin didn't something totally unusual this year, he made all the pies for this dinner. 2-pumpkin, 1-banana cream, 1-apple, okay Kandi helped with this one, and especially for me 1-pecan. They were so yummy. He even made the crusts from scratch. I thought they tasted great, you wouldn't have know it was his first try.
On Thursday Justin headed out for the annual Turkey Bowl. This year he played with Dallas and some friends and was quite proud that he could keep up with this younger crowd. The kids and I stayed home and watched the Macy's Parade. I love this parade, especially the Rockettes. Someday I will go to NYC and watch their show. That afternoon we went to Grandma Dora's house for another dinner. Justins Aunt and her kids and their kids joined us there. It was fun to visit with family that we don't get to see very often.
On Friday Justin kept the kids and I headed out shopping with my mom and sister. We decided not to get up to early, much to cold to get up at 4:00 am. We hit the stores at 7:00 am and still found everything we wanted. We went to Angies for breakfast to get out energy up so we could keep shopping, but by 11:30 we were done. I think I got everything that I needed, so my shopping is done, until I think of something else.
Jonah Olsen, Justin's cousin's son, got Baptized on Saturday since we were in town we headed over to watch. The kids thought it was neat, and this church is much smarter than my sisters, they have installed a panel of plexiglass so Dallin couldn't fall in. I was very relieved when they opened the doors and I saw that glass. After the baptism, I met my mom and sister to attend Logans annual craft fair, the November Fest. It was quite fun, although I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, we did find lots of cute stuff.
So if we didn't have a full enough weekend, we decided to celebrate Savannah's birthday on Saturday night. We had a little party at Kandi's house, Savannah got lots of neat gifts. She is really into crafts and got a jewelry set that she could color the "stones" in and whole set of different scrapbooking, suncatchers, sand art , and modeling clay. She was so excited to get them opened and start crafting. She was very bummed when I told her we had to wait until we got home. We also gave her our gifts, Kirsten Larson the American Girl doll. I don't know who was more excited Savannah or Me. I love these dolls and although they are pricey, I think they are worth it. I love that there is a story to make these dolls come to life.
After all that on sunday my bil Doug took Christmas pictures of my kids. That is such an ordeal. Hailey didn't want to have anything to do with smiling, what a surprise, but I think we managed to get some cute pictures still.
Whew what a busy weekend, just remembering it makes me tired. I think I am still trying to recover from it. I will post some pictures when I get them from my bil.
