Our new President

Okay I have tried this political season, to keep my feelings private. I didn't want to get into any big discussions with anyone. However, when Savannah started learning about the candidates at school, we had to talk about it. I told the kids that I was voting for John McCain. Dallin picked up on this and started chanting "John McCain, John McCain" all around the house. Well on Weds when we were eating lunch and watching the news, we saw the rallies celebrating Obama's victory. Dallin asked why those people were cheering and I told him that Obama had one and the people were cheering for him . So that led to the next conversation.
D-"Why aren't they cheering for John McCain?"
Me- "Well he didn't win"
D- "Maybe he can win next time and all the people will cheer for him."
Me- "Well he is pretty old, so I don't think he will run again." Thinking that would end things Dallin thought for a minute then broke into tears stating "I don't Barak Obama to be president, I want John McCain."
He was so sincere about this, but I couldn't help laughing. I think that there are many people in this country that feel the same way. I just hope that once Obama has access to all the information that the president does he will do the right thing.
