In order to prepare for the new baby we are getting ready to move Hailey into Savannah's room. Justin decided that he wanted to build a bunk bed rather that purchasing one. Immediately flashes from the Stepbrothers movie flashed through my mind. But Justin felt confident that he could make it safely, so I said go for it. So a couple of weeks ago construction began. We got it built and into the room and I decided that we need a room makeover to go along with the great new bed. Which is very sturdy, I even dared get up on it.

One of the side panels.

All put together.

Testing it out.
Since Savannah's birthday is coming up on Sat, we decided to do that for her birthday. She saw that paint color and the shelves go in and wasn't really sure if she was totally in love with it. After I got the initial paint done I decided to surprise her with the rest. So Savannah moved into the guest room for a few days this week, and I was able to finish up everything last Thursday. We decided to 'give' this to her early, on the night of her friend party. These are the only picutres I have of the before room. Not the greatest picture, but you can get the idea.

And here are the final results.

This is the dress up corner. I am going to use the window frame on the floor for a mirror.

Hailey's Dresser will go where the yellow chair is and that other frame will be another mirror. I don't know what is going to happen to the yellow chair, because I love having it in the room, even though it doesn't match. We are going to have to some creative thinking on this one.
That is the PERFECT little girls' room. I can't believe you have the energy to do all that right now, and I'm seriously impressed with Justin's building of the bunks! What a darling room. I love the bedding.
ReplyDeleteWow. Great job. I think it is adorable. I'm very impressed with Justin's building skills. You are so lucky. We are re-arranging rooms too but we haven't even started yet. Woah I guess we better get on that. :)
