O' Christmas Tree

I love when it is time to get out the Christmas tree.   Savannah's birthday is on the 29th of Nov and I never know if we should get it out before or wait until after so it doesn't overshadow her birthday.  This year I let her choose and she opted for getting it set up before her birthday so she could show her friends.  So out it came.  As you know before Hailey was born I decided I couldn't handle looking for a real tree and we found a beautiful fake one.  I am happy to say that 4 years later I still love my tree.

 Of course the little kids wanted to help daddy put it all together.  Hailey did her best to keep Ian out of the way though.

Thankfully my b-i-l Doug was staying with us and was able to figure out why one strand wouldn't light.  A bad bulb, unfortunately I still don't have it fixed, but at least I know where it is.  I bet you wish you had an electrician on hand for that.

We finally got the tree up and all the kids helped put this ornaments on the tree.  I love unwrapping them all and remembering why we purchased that particular ornament.  Our tree is a hodge podge of ornaments and I love it that way.

Putting the star on the tree is always my job.  It is the last thing to go up and then we turn off the lights and light the whole tree all at once.  I love it and so do the kids.

Ian has figured out how fun it is to climb daddy's ladder.  We could not keep him off it.  I think that I have a picture of Dallin about this same age on the same ladder.
