Savannah's birthday parties

Of course we like most families end up having multiple days of celebration for each birthday.  Savannah's birthday was no different.  We celebrated over Thanksgiving weekend at Grandma Kandi's.  We had yummy breakfast, sang happy birthday and Savannah got spoiled with presents.  We are so lucky to have an amazing family that love my children.

Actually I guess her party actually started when on Friday.  I took Savannah to the November Fest to do some Christmas shopping and then I told her I needed to run to the mall to get a couple of things.  When we got there we walked right into Claire's.  It wasn't until I told the sales girl that Savannah needed to get her ears pierced that she caught on.  She was so excited and sooo nervous.  She picked out her earrings and sat in chair so brave.

Then two girls came and did both ears at one time.  Definitely the way to go.  No anticipating the next ear.  She was so thrilled and couldn't wait to go and call her cousin Maddie and tell everyone she knew that she now had pierced ears.

On Savannah's actual birthday we had a friend birthday party.  She invited several girls from school to eat pizza and then go see Tangled in 3D.  It was such a fun party.  9 year olds are a little insane and there was much screaming and carrying on at the house before the movie.

Yup this is the rainbow cake like I made for Ian's birthday.  So easy and so cute.  I love how huge it is and skittles are Savannah's favorite, so it worked out perfect

Even Ian had a ball at the party, wearing everybody's shoes.  Notice one of these boots is on backwards. How does he do that?
