Tinkerbell Half Marathon Weekend Day 2

Saturday was our take it easy day.  We knew that Disneyland would leave us too exhausted for the next days race so we made other plans.  We hit the Expo to pick up our race bibs and packets and to do some shopping.

It was a great expo.  Tons of vendors and great speakers.  While we were shopping for our official Disney gear we were able to hear Jeff Galloway speak.    He gave us some great motivation for the next day. We also met Ali from the Biggest Loser.  She was so nice and gave us all a hug.  She was running the race the next day too and was so much fun. After we spent all our money on clothing, jewelry and fabulous new compression socks (don't worry you will see them in tomorrow's pictures).  We grabbed my mom and Bevan and headed to Newport Beach.

We stopped by the Newport Beach LDS Temple to check it out.  It is a beautiful temple built out of pink colored rock.

The day at the beach was just what the Dr. ordered.  It was the perfect temperature for just lounging and taking pictures.  The weather was the complete opposite of what we had left behind in Utah the previous day.  We met Tori at the beach, she brought her whole family with her so she wasn't staying with us, but she was running with us the next day.

After a glorious day at the beach we headed to Sprinkles cupcakes to sample their wares.  They even had a gluten free treat for Stephanie and Holly.  My favorite thing was the frosting shots.  So yummy, I think I am going to have to figure out how to make marshmallow frosting.

We finished out the day by soaking in the hot tub.  We actually met a few other racers who were all getting ready for the race.  Then it was time to get to bed, because 4:00 AM was going to come awfully early.
