We were up and at it bright and early on Monday. DCA opened at 8:00 so I wanted to be in line by 7:30. I arrived at 7:15 and they let us into the park at 7:30, but didn't let us all the way in until 8:00. I jumped in to the fast pass line for Radiator Springs Racers (RSR) while the rest of the crew went straight to the stand-by line. After I got my passes I went and joined them in line. It worked out great, except for the ride shutting down on us and making our wait longer.

After the first ride, the ride went down for a while so we went and rode Luigi's Tires. That has to be the lamest ride I have ever done. It is a good concept, but poor execution. The tires 'float' on air and you are supposed to lean and be able to control your tire so that is zooms around like bumper cars. We could not get our tire to move for a while and even when it did it didn't really go anywhere. Definitely not worth going on ever again. If there is one ride to miss and DCA it is this one.
After Luigi's RSR was back up running again so we were able to use our fast passes and hop back on that. RSR is truly one of the great rides at Disney. It is part dark ride and part thrill ride and it so much fun.

One of the highlights of the day had to be the funny looks and comments we got towards our socks. We all wore our compression sock in the morning to help with the aching calves. Of course we all had our medals attached to our purses so everyone knew why we were wearing them. But that didn't stop the funny looks, one lady even took a picture of us.

After spending the morning at DCA we decided to head over to Disneyland. It had gotten really warm by this point so we decided to ditch the socks.
Bevan wanted to do the Jedi Training so I made him a sign, "Try, I will not. Do, I will" He got picked very first. I don't think there was a happier kid on that stage. He got to fight Darth Vadar and wasn't even tempted to turn to the dark side.

We ran into the Storm Troopers as we were leaving and Bevan got a chance to use the force on them to protect his pins.

Of course we had to go on Splash Mountain. I sat on my jacket thinking that it would keep my bum dry, but taking a huge wave right over the side of the boat will take care of any dry spots. We were thoroughly soaked by time we got off that ride. Good thing we still had a couple of hours of sunlight left in the day.
We decided to finish off the night over in DCA. We tried to ride Mickey's Fun Wheel, but they had to shut it down right before we were supposed to board. So we rode Goofy's Sky School, Tower of Terror, and a few other rides. There was nobody on the Little Mermaid Ride so they let us ride that one two times in a row, without getting off. That was a first for me.

We happened to be the right place at place at the right time for the Pixar Parade. It the first time I had seen that. The floats were so cute and fun to see the way they represented all the different shows.
After the parade Holly, mom and Bevan decided they were beat. Stephanie and I wanted to see World of Color so we decided to stick around. We had an awesome view of the show and decided to sneak out just a couple minutes early. By doing that we snuck in a ride on Toy Story and two rides on Californa Screamin before they closed. We literally closed the park it was so much fun.

I took this too, I felt the same way. I love Disneyland. I was so sad to be going home, but we had to head back to the hotel so we could get packed and ready to go.
Bright and early the next morning we headed to the airport. My mom took this shot of the three of us just before boarding the airplane, and yes we did wear our medals all the way home.
I love a good girls trip. I am so lucky to have sisters and a fun mother to play with. Can't wait for the next one.

It was a fun trip! We need to plan the next one!
