Wow, I have mixed feelings about this weekend. On the one hand I had a great weekend with Justin in Park City. We stayed at the Westgate at The Canyons. We did a little shopping at the outlets, then got dinner and saw August Rush. That was a great movie, I would highly recommend it.
Well in the middle of shopping I got a call from the babysitter. Dallin had stuck at least one and possible two raisins up his nose. She wanted to know how to get them out. Well the other day Dallin had stuck a toy cell phone button up his nose which we were able to get out easily, by having him blow his nose. I told Marti to have him do this, but no luck. Dallin decided to do this about one minute before she had to go take Savannah to a practice for her play. So she worked on it as much as she could, but then she had to run. I told her not to worry about it and when my mom got there to tend she would work on getting the raisins out. When she got there also no luck. Those raisins were stuck. We called an E.R. Dr in our ward to see what we should do. He said that we definitely needed to get the raisins out and to take him to insta-care. So I sent my mom to insta-care. I was feeling so guilty being gone when my baby was in trouble. I was feeling even more guilty that my mom had to take three kids to the Dr in the snow. She said the worst part was just getting them into the car seats. Well the Dr. had no trouble getting one raisin out of Dal's nose. She looked but couldn't see anything else up there. He is still saying that there is one in his nose, so we will have to watch and see if anything develops. So needless to say raisins are now banned at my house. And if anyone is watching Dallin, please don't let him stick anything up his nose.
After I talked to my mom and found out everything went great at the Dr's I could relax. We ended up having a great weekend and a nice break from the kids. But I am having serious doubts about leaving them again.

that is hysterical.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that Rachelle found it hysterical too! I was laughing so hard after I got off the phone with you I was crying!
ReplyDeleteugh...kids! Why do they stick stuff up their noses? We just had our first experience with that ourselves last week. Colby stuck a pen lid up his nose so far that we couldn't see it. Thankfully it came out when he blew. This was 5 minutes before we were going to leave him with a babysitter too. Thank goodness he has big nostrils.
