I always try to get my tree up as close to Thanksgiving as possible. This year it was on Monday, easy FHE project, and the kids were so excited to help. I have to say it stresses me a little, because I have many ornaments that are breakable, and two year olds and four year olds just aren't that careful. Shocker I know. This year Hailey totally got into it and loved hanging the ornaments on the tree. Many of them were hung from each other or barely hanging on at all, but she was so proud. Two years ago I broke down and bought a fake tree. I still am in a little shock over this. I do love how stable this tree is, I always worried about the real trees tipping over as they have done in the past.
I think that my tree is my favorite thing about Christmas. I love our eclectic mix of ornaments. We add a new one for every member of the family every year. Justin and I even get them, this way when my kids move away they can take theirs and I will still have a great collection.
