Day 4- Disney's California Adventures

Wednesday started off grey and foggy just like Tuesday, it was the weirdest thing.  We didn't have a magic morning on this day, they don't do them on Weds, but we were there for park opening.  I loved being welcomed into the park with all the CMs waving their Mickey hands at us.  Very fun.  It seemed as if everyone at Disneyland was headed to Fantasyland and Tomorrowland so we went to Frontierland. There was nobody there.  We walked onto BTMRR twice and then headed to splash mountain and Winnie the Pooh.  It was there I realized that I had forgotten my wallet, with our passes, my id, and credit card in the pocket on BTMRR.  I quickly raced over to see if it had been turned in while Justin took the kids to the Tarzan Treehouse.  Luckily when I got there someone had decided to be honest and my wallet had been turned in to the CMs with everything still intact.

They had a Day of the Dead display that Ian thought was pretty funny

After I recovered my wallet we headed over to DCA.  DCA opens an hour after DL.  We decided to jump in line for Toy Story since they don't have fast passes for it and the line can get really long.  The queue is very cute and the line seemed to move fast even though we still waited for 25 mins.  This was actually a very fun ride.  It is a 4d adventure with carnival games.  Very cute

On King Triton's Carousel

We hit Mickey's Fun Wheel and the carousel.  We also found Buzz and Jessie hanging out on the board walk.

While we were waiting for some of the group to get off Goofy's Sky school we came across the Green Army Man show.  Very fun.  Kind of like the blue man group, but these guys talk.

We met up with the rest of the group at Talking with Crush.  Ian had crashed by this point and there was no waking him up.  So my mom was nice enough to wait with him while we went to see Crush.  That was so fun.  Totally interactive.  My niece even got to ask Crush one of the questions.

My mom had seen Sully hanging out in the backlot earlier that day and knew she wanted to get a picture with him.  She teaches 6th grade English and does a unit where the kids have to make up monsters.  So she had to meet Sully.  We hung out to eat out lunch and rest while we waited for him to show up.  We were the first people in line, which was very convienent and then headed over to the  Mickey's Dance Crew show.

They had music going before the show so the kids had to get their groove on.  Even the clean-up crew got in on the action and danced with the kids.

Once again this show did not disappoint.  The kids loved being able to get up and dance with the 'the Crew'.  We tried to go on the Monsters ride, but it was shut down.  Oh well I guess that means we will have to make another trip down.
The little kids loved Bugs Land.  Here they are being so silly on one of the rides.  Hailey was pretending to be asleep for some reason.  I have to say though the bumper cars could have used a little more umph.  They were soooo slow.

While the little kids were in Bugs Land the big kids took turn going on Tower of Terror.  I think Savannah went 4 times in a row today alone thanks to fast passes and stroller passes.  We finally made it to Grizzly Rapids around night fall.  It was a little cold for me so I only went once, but my kids loved it.  Justin was a good sport and took them while I took the little kids to the Redwood Creek Trail.  This was one spot that I regret not spending more time.  It was so fun.  It is kind of like a big playground, but themed after the Wilderness Explorers from Up.  It had all kinds of rope bridges, slides and even a rope swing.  Unfortunately the park was closing so we really didn't get to spend a lot of time there.  The big kids didn't even make it in there and I know they would have loved it.
We had gotten passes to World of Color of this night so we stuck around to watch that, while my family left.  I have to say that was truly one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.  I really had no idea what to expect.  It was the only Disney thing I didn't research the heck out of.   I wanted to be truly surprised and I am so glad that I was  It was so fun.

Justin took the big kids on the trolley to get the car while I walked through DTD so we didn't have to unload the stroller.  Hailey and Ian had both fallen asleep almost as soon as World of Color was over.  It was a little chilly so I improvised with a blanket, at least it kept the wind off them.
