Day 6- Mickey's Halloween Party

When we decided to go to Disney at Halloween time I knew that I wanted to take the kids to Mickey's Halloween Party.  Tickets were kind of pricey so I didn't know if I would able to convince Justin and we should do it.  Fortunately he listened to my pleas of 'it's a once in a lifetime chance' and agreed to do it.  YAY!!

After a lazy day of swimming and napping we headed to the park.  I had packed all our Halloween costumes so that we could all dress up.  We didn't go into the park with our costumes on, which I kind of wish we had now it made it a little crazy trying to get changed.  We were able to go into the park at 4:00 for a few hours of rides before the actual party started.

Our first stop was along main street to do a little shopping and to get the kids Silhouettes cut.  I had these done for Savannah and Dallin when we went 6 years ago.  I knew that I wanted to have them done for all the kids.  That was my souvenir from the trip and I love them!!

We got the packages all settled so we didn't have to haul them around all day and we headed to BTMRR.  You knew I was going to say that didn't you.  After BTMRR we headed back to Bid Thunder Mountain Ranch to check the amazing pumpkins they have.  Look who we stumbled onto.  Woody!  Ian was not to sure about him.  I think it was the size of his head.  He was a little timid.  He did get his autograph and let me take a picture.

I decided to get the kids costumes on while Justin was off doing something and then we headed to Indy.  The kids had loved this ride and Holly and Steph gave us their fast passes when we had bumped into them earlier.  Justin took Dallin and Savannah on the ride while I waited on Tarzan with Hailey and Ian and got my costume on.  Hailey was like an inch too short for this ride, such a bummer.

Savannah and I decided to hop on Indy for one last ride before MHP officially started.  The line was short and thought we would have plenty of time to meet up with the Family and get where we wanted to be.  Well wouldn't you know it, they had problems with the ride and actually shut down the ride, right before we got on.  Then when we were in our car and then right before we got off.  It was such a bummer and put us behind the schedule I had in my head.  It turned out fine, but it did meet we missed meeting Phineas and Ferb.  We were able to catch Agent P, which the kids thought was pretty cool.
After Meeting Agent P we officially started trick or treating.  We hit the first trail and made our way over to Goofy's Pirate Palooza.  We got to cut a rug with Donald, Goofy, Chip, and Dale all dressed in their finest pirate attire.  It was so fun.  Ian was the best, he has this totally crazy way of dancing with his elbows sticking straight out and he wasn't shy about getting right in there to mix it up.  Goofy and his band of pirate did a choreographed number right as we were getting there.  It was so fun.  Something that you just don't get to do on a normal day.

After shaking our tails feathers we got a move on to more trick or treating.  We hit a few trails filled out bags multiple times and had a ball looking at all the fun costumes.

This is a real live person.  He was so funny and would talk to the kids.

Doesn't the Castle look amazing.  The lights changed throughout the night.

The Halloween Parade was so fun and a nice break in between the trick or treating.

Amazing Halloween Fireworks with Jack Skellington and Zero flying through the air.

Cruella was probably my favorite villain we met.  She had so much personality.

Jafar tried to put a spell on Dallin.

My evil twin!

I love Savannah's face when she saw snow white.  She had decided on the last day that she had to meet her and she was not disappointed.

Of course I had to get a picture with her as well.

Ian was quite enamored with Tia.  Can you believe that this is 10:00 at night?  Look how happy those kids are.

We closed the park by taking one last ride on Small World.  Dallin and Hailey were zonked out, but Ian could not get enough he loved it!!

Saying good-bye to Disneyland.  We were so sad to leave.  I am pretty sure there were tears shed by both mom and daughter this night.

Check out all that loot.  We had waited until today to do our shopping, so not only did we have a gazillion pounds of candy, we had out treasures too.  Ian did finally fall asleep on the way to meet Justin with the car.

Those two orange bags were packed to the top with treats.

When we got back to the hotel we put the kids to bed then we checked out the loot.  We were kind of dying over how much we had received.  I used it for the actual Halloween, we ate a ton, and still cashed in 10 pounds at the dentist.  I think the kids ate the carrots, raisins and apples for 2 months.  Justin even used it to get in shape.

Well this concludes the Disneyland part of the trip.  I can't believe that it is over.  Every time I look at my pictures I can't wait to go back.  If you ever get the chance to attend the Halloween party I would say that it is so worth it.
