Do you have traditions related to Santa Claus or other holiday visitors?
A few years ago my mom started having a Grandma party for the kids. The kids write letters to Santa and decorate cookies to leave for him. The the big guy usually makes an appearance. He brings everyone and gift, but you have to sit on his lap to get it. The best is seeing my scroogy big brother perched on his knee.

We always did the typical. Cookies on the firplace, maybe a carrot or two for the reindeer. The stockings were all hung on the mantel and then anxiously waited in bed to try and hear him on the roof.
