Write about the significance of at least one of your items of holiday decor.
I have an angel that my mom made for me when I was one year old. I love having this angel on my tree. It reminds me of my mom and what an amazing woman she is. She is quite talented and used to paint ceramics quite a bit. This is just one of them. She taught me how to paint as well, although I still can't do the detail work like she can. Hopefully I can teach my kids all the things that she has taught me over the years.

Remember: In what places do you remember feeling warm, welcome and loved during the holidays?
When I was little we would spend Christmas eve at my Grandma Meikle's house. We had dinner and then the kids would put on a 'talent' show. Then we would open a present and head home to hang our stockings. I remember her house feeling warm and cozy and very bright. I don't know if it was the contrast between the dark outside and her home, but I remember being very bright and cheerful.
After I opened my presents on Christmas morning I would call my best friend Dominee and we would meet up. We took turns going to each others houses to play with each others toys. I always felt welcome at Dominee's, even when her brothers were teasing us.
