Go and read this article. It is a gentle reminder of what is truly important at this time of year. I have just spent the last two days decorating my house for Christmas. I love it!! I love how cozy everything seems with 1000 light adorning the living room, not to mention the 5000 outside. It isn't show room perfect, but it is perfect for me. I hope that my home is a place where others feel as warm as I do. I love how every piece I pull out has been accumulated over time. Picked out to add just a splash. I love how it is all mixed up and eclectic. My Christmas tree is decorated with a mish-mash of ornaments. All added year after year, each with a special memory. One of them got broken this year and I had to remind myself that the memory doesn't die just because the item goes away.
Photo assignment: Something Warm
I love my tree, it warms my heart to look at it.
This garland is new to my kitchen this year. I have actually had it for a few years, but never found the perfect spot for it. This year it is hanging above the back door. What could be warmer that gingerbread friends.
Remember: Do you remember making any specific recipe with older family members? What was the experience like.
I remember my mom teaching me how to make pumpkin rolls. I loved rolling the cake up in the towels and feeling the warmth of it. Now I make these every year.
